Oakland ALPR Data

The Oakland Police Department, like many modern departments, has automated license plate reading equipment installed in their patrol cars. Oakland also has a robust public records law. A while back some folks used that law to free the accumulated ALPR database. It covers 2010 through 2014 and has three million records, each containing the plate, the date/time, and the lat/long. You can fetch the raw data yourself, if you like, from here.

This page lets you search the data for a plate and shows you a map of where OPD has seen it.
