The main fork originates way up in the hills, in Strawberry Canyon, east of the University. The north fork is shorter, starting in Blackberry Canyon inside the Lawrence Berkeley Lab. The two forks join in the Eucalyptus Grove near the west side of the University. The creek is culverted from there except for a few blocks near Acton Street and Strawberry Creek Park.
